A Plan Project presents The Grass Will Grow Over the City

Throughout history great cities and civilizations have been built and thrived and have then fallen into ruin or disuse. There are periods of great industry, politics, philosophy, art and architecture and there are the middle ages. There is an ebb and flow to the progress of humanity.
Following the great changes of the 20th century and our growing understanding of the need for environmental sustainability it is the time for art to reflect upon our place in the history of progress.

The artists in this exhibition each deal with this balance between the natural and human construct in their own different ways. Essentially this a landscape exhibition, but it's landscapes are not representations of existing environments they are contemplations of the flux of human civilization, which look both forward and back through time.
